Driven by our unique data storage technology Piql are growing and we are transforming our product offering into a SaaS based company. We are now looking for a skilled Software Developer (she/he) who has additional interest in DevOps who can design, develop, and deploy new software features for our SaaS platform and for our other on-premise installations. 

You will join an innovative environment with people who share the passion for agile development, you will be part of our high performing software team as a solid contributor with varied and exciting tasks.

Some key tasks: 

You will be involved in all steps of a software product life cycle from ideation, specifications (design, prototyping, development, testing and quality control, release management and maintenance). You work together in a team with other developers, be responsible for some parts of the development and take responsibility for DevOps tasks as needed. The SaaS platform is based on microservices architecture using .NET and VUE running on the Azure cloud. Behind the cloud platform Piql uses proprietary hardware and software to read and write data to our unique patented storage technology.

There is a possibility to also participate in our research projects exploring blockchain technologies, security solutions and international standardization. How can we use Machine Learning and AI to make our solution more value adding, like enhanced search and how to make more sense of the Metadata?

Qualifications 

To succeed in this role, you must have good knowledge of some of the following:

• Core programming (C#, C++, ASP, .NET)
• Indexing and databases (SQL, Graph Database, Elasticsearch, MongoDB)
• Development tools (Git/Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code)
• DevOps (ProxMox, RPM build server, Ansibel), Configurations (VPN, Firewalls), Intrastructure management
• Jira/Scrum 

An advantage if you have specific interest to, or professional knowledge of some of the following:

• Cloud computing (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
• Deployment (Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible)
• Some experience with hardware/software combined projects
• Image processing
• Blockchain
• Computer and data security technologies
• Object recognition
• Mathematics (basic statistics and signal processing)
